How I Support

As a Doula, I accompany birthing people in labor to help ensure a safe, empowering, and memorable birth experience. I am a non-clinical provider who will draw upon my knowledge and experience to provide emotional support, physical comfort measures and education/resources to navigate your pregnancy and birth experience with confidence, joy, and power.

I can provide reassurance and perspective to you, make suggestions for labor progress, and help with relaxation, massage, positioning and other techniques for comfort. I will support you to my fullest in facilitating the kind of birth you have envisioned for yourself.  I am independently self-employed.  As your doula, I am working for you, not your caregiver or hospital/birth center, giving me the ability to provide you with uninterrupted care throughout your birth.

From the onset of confirmed active labor, I will be available to you to provide continuous non-clinical support from the time you request my presence till the time your baby is born. I will be available to meet you at the location of your choosing, whether at home, birth center, or hospital to begin providing comfort measures. Comfort measures may include:

  • emotional support

  • maintaining a calming ambiance

  • and more

1-2 Hours Postpartum Support

After birth, I usually remain with you for one to two hours, unless you are comfortable and your family is ready for private time together. During this time, I can assist you with:

  • initial lactation consultation

  • assisting with first latch, if breastfeeding

  • skin to skin education

  • providing information about postpartum treatment for baby and healing for mother

  • photography, if requested

Postpartum Visit

My support doesn't end at the birth of your baby. I will contact you at least once after the birth to check on you and provide advice on postpartum healing. An in-home postpartum visit is also available within the first two weeks of your birth to see how you are healing, debrief your birth experience, troubleshoot any breastfeeding issues, and admire your new baby. Additional hourly postpartum support is also available.

All-Inclusive Investment: $1,500

Ask me about flexible payment plans! In addition to payment plans, I also offer options for low down payments to help make this investment more feasible for you and your family. Sliding scale is also available for families experiencing financial/ economic hardship, with priority given to BIPOC and/or LGBTQA+ birthing folks. As a personal value, I will never allow inability to afford my fee to prevent me from supporting folks who want a doula. Let's have a conversation, and if there is fit and alignment, we can figure out a mutually agreeable financial solution.
